I Thank you for taking the time to explore our website and visiting with us.  I hope that you will use it as an informational tool to give you a  glimpse into our dojo and dynamic style of Kajukenbo, "The Tony Ramos Method."

 

     My name is Anthony Ramos  and I am the son of (the late) Ahgung Tony and Connie Ramos. Both my parents were martial arts instructors and it was natural that, along with my five siblings,  I would be introduced to martial arts at a young age. I now carry on the family legacy of the Ramos Method.  A legacy that I was born into and have trained in all my life.

 

     In July 2001, Wahiawa Kajukenbo-Hawaii was opened. The school would be run by Ahgung Tony Ramos' last group of promoted Black Belts and first in Hawaii. The Chief Instructor is Sifu Carl Watanabe along with Sifu Lancer Dacuycuy, Sifu Scott Valdez, Sifu Sterling Halmas, Instructor Shane Halmas, Sifu Gav Himalaya, and Sifu Jed Dunca. We are the only school on the island of Oahu that teaches the Ramos Method. Our  teachings and philosophies are the same as what was taught to us by Ahgung and continue  to be a staple in our school. Hard training and intense conditioning are what we are known for here in Hawaii.

 

     Friends and family encouraged the opening of the Wahiawa Kajukenbo-California school in Suisun City. In mid-February 2003, we opened and started classes at the Joseph Nelson Center  with myself as Chief Instructor. We are the sister school of the original Wahiawa Kajukenbo- Hawaii. In 2015 we moved to our current address at the Train 4 Life Center at 50 Main street
